With hubby on our last trip @ Schwarzwald, Germany
Whom did you travel with? I remember how I used to travel with my family as a kid until I was a teenager. Then, when I was a bit grown up, I travelled with my cousins then my friends or sometimes alone. Now, since I am married, my husband is my travelling companion mostly. And I love it! There are just so many perks when you travel with your partner, mostly since he or she knows you so well, so there’s this established rhythm and dynamic between you two while exploring, i.e. preferences, travelling style, etc.
But, it hasn’t always been the case. In the beginning of our relationship especially, we had our differences during the trips. Apparently according to a study in the UK, about 40% of couples argue during the holiday. It happens even to the happiest couple.I remembered our honeymoon trip, as we visited the Eiffel Tower. Not researching quite thoroughly led us to a catastrophe where we had to line up to buy tickets to go up to the tower. The line was long and we had to wait hours.
It was already lunch hour and I was so hungry since I skipped breakfast and hurried here. The result was I ended up being cranky, and we passed the opportunity to climb the Eiffel tower until today oopsie. Had we researched properly and I communicated how important punctual meal times are for me, this wouldn’t have happened. But hey truth to be told, experience is the best teacher of all time. We learn from it, grow, and anticipate these things in the first place.
And now? We seize every opportunity to have a vacation together. Maybe one day we will travel to Paris again and finally climb the Eiffel tower!

Somebody told me to always travel with your loved ones, and I can’t agree more! Travelling can be with any one, but it makes it even better when you do it with loved ones. Who doesn’t want to have more good memories with their loved ones? I know I do 🙂
