Thoughts on Russia & Ukraine War

@ Peaceful Demonstration Against Russia-Ukraine War

There are a few countries that I regret not visiting until now. Not just for the sake of ‘conquering a new land,’ but out of curiosity on how the aspects of the culture are; the food, the people, the beauty and also the rustical sides of those countries. Pure, objective, all in a package.

Ukraine is one of them. During my college time in Poland, I met quite a lot of Ukranians and also befriended some. Through them I experienced the hospitality of eastern Europe, and also learned one or two things that I surely didn’t get from my history classes.

It might seem unreal, living in the year 2022 and still experiencing the ‘time of war’. But  the war between Russia and Ukraine is real and it finally escalated three months ago. I remember how my classmate told me that she had seen a blown up body in front of her eyes when the war between Ukraine and Russia in Donetsk, Ukraine, erupted.

We all know how terrifying and destructive what a war brings. Nothing good comes out of violence. Hence, blood, tears and lives. I’ve said this for some time and I will say it again. Just because it’s happening in other parts of the world, doesn’t mean that this will not impact you. Say your voice and donate to fellow Ukrainians in need, help Ukraine.
