Duo Boeny in Istanbul

Sassa & I meeting at the middle point of Europe & Asia @ Curio Collection, Istanbul, Turkey

These are the words that would best describe the relationship between Hadassah & I. Since our first proper talking, we’ve clicked instantly. Who would have guessed that she already met my family in Jakarta before I introduced her to them. (If you didn’t know, I moved to Jakarta to pursue my high school degree, then Uni. That’s why I had to stay with my aunts. Was still a minor after all hehe). Back again, Sassa was a classmate of my cousin. Talking about how ‘big’ the world is, huuh.

Long story short, we have developed from Helen and Sassa to Boeny and Boeny. If you have known us for some time, you would have witnessed how well fed or “Boental” we were until our slimmest in history, literally through thick and thin.13 years have passed and this girl still stays the same. Still cracks me up and is my partner in crime, well in almost everything 😀

Adulting sure does things in life. We grow, most of us get married and some have kids. But, it’s good to feel something that feels the same even after years go by, even after you are living apart from your old life, on another side of the world. Be grateful for people in your life that stay and do make time for them.

And for us, after being separated for almost three years, we decided to meet in Turkey, the middle of Europe and Asia. I’m super proud of her for making her first long distance solo flight. Cheers to another in the future!

PS: Btw, check these photos below! Isn’t Istanbul a very vibrant city? I personally love how colourful it is 🙂
