Wandering through ”The Sand Dunes” of Denmark @ Skagen
What an unexpected view!
That’s what I thought as I saw this surprise in Skagen. After all, who would have imagined to be welcomed by this impressive sand dune when ”Denmark” is pronounced.
If you haven’t heard of Skagen, it is more than just a port town at the tipping point of Denmark’s northern part. In fact, I was constantly surprised by its unique nature, just like this place, Råbjerg Mile.
Good news about this place is that you need to spend none of your penny, there is no entrance fee 🙂
And another good news is since this place is covered by 2 km² of sand dunes, almost every corner is available for yourself. I saw a couple even brought their own picnic bags and wine to enjoy sunset. How cool is that, ey?
A tip from me – If you visit this spot one day, always bring your jacket with you. I was there in summer, but you can’t really compare northern summer with the usual summer. It was still quite breezy!
