Walking on the banks of the Bosphorus, the stream that unites east and west @ Istanbul, Turkey
Have you ever counted how many social media accounts that you have? And from there, how many accounts are actually active? Just like many of you, I am fond of the internet and social media as a part of it, Instagram especially. Honestly, there are great things to see there. Things that are more interesting than real life. I’m talking about the constant traveling posts, the good side of life, the intriguing parts of the other corner. If I could, I would just fly, enjoy the world and always have it my way, right?
But let’s face it, this life that we live is too real. it’s painful to think how to live your older life if you don’t bust your productive ass today. But hey, life is meant to be enjoyed and this platform is one of the forms. And perhaps, just perhaps, it could one day be a place that shows what it means to keep it real.
There to say, with the intention to bring more authenticity to social media, I would like you to acknowledge that I have my downs probably in the same ratio as my ups. I frown as much as I smile. But, I just don’t have them taken often. As a wise man once said, joy and sorrow are two sides of the same sword, am I right?
PS – for those who have been wondering where I’ve been in the past month, the answer is not huge. I was taking a break from the online world. Doing so, it has made me realized how simple our lives could be. And to be honest, I’ve forgotten how it feels. But, let’s leave it for another time, shall we?
